More reliable PDF reading
The library that extracts text from PDFs (used by SOPs) has been replaced with a modern, maintained one: no more hidden retries to work around its instability. Along the way we found and fixed a defect that would have silently disabled section detection in uploaded PDFs — an automated test now guards it permanently.

Every module of the product now uses the same up-to-date test and build tooling: fewer differences between environments, intermittent errors eliminated, and simpler, safer upgrades going forward.
